Leftover Easter Candy? Here’s What to Do (Hint: It Involves Wine)

Pair your post-holiday stash + Grovedale favorites

Let’s be honest—we all go a little overboard on Easter candy. Whether it’s jelly beans, Peeps in multiple species, or a too large stash of mini peanut butter cups, we’ve all got sweet leftovers lingering in the pantry.

This year, we’re reclaiming the candy—and turning it into treats with grown-up flair.

Peanut Butter Brownie

Peanut Butter Cup Brownie Bites

Pair with: Sh!tshow Red
Mood: Rich and fudgy.

These are the perfect way to use up all those mini PB cups. They’re rich, ridiculously easy to make, and when you add a glass of Sh!tshow Red? Chef’s kiss.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box brownie mix

  • 24 mini peanut butter cups

  • Optional: sea salt, crushed peanuts, melted chocolate

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a mini muffin tin.

  2. Mix brownie batter as directed, fill cups ¾ full.

  3. Press a PB cup into each and bake 12–15 minutes.

  4. Cool, garnish (or don’t), and devour.

Why it works:
Sh!tshow Red brings out the bold chocolate notes with jammy cherry and berry flavors. It’s dessert meeting its match.

Jelly Bean Sangria

Jelly Bean Sangria

Pair with: sh!tshow Rosé
Mood: Sparkly, fruity, and fun.

A little bubbly, a little citrus, and a handful of jelly beans turn a bottle of wine into a springtime sip that’s as playful as it is delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle sh!tshow rosé

  • ½ cup fruity jelly beans

  • 1 orange + 1 lemon, thinly sliced

  • 1 cup sparkling water or lemon-lime soda

Instructions:

  1. Combine wine, citrus, and jelly beans in a pitcher. Chill for 1 hour minimum.

  2. Add your choice of sparkling beverage and serve over ice.

Why it works:
Sh!tshow Rose's dry, fruit-forward style balances the sweetness of the jelly beans, while the fizz adds a fresh twist.

Peep S'mores

Toasted Peep S’mores

Pair with: Heritage
Mood: Waste not, want s'more.

Toasted sugar, melty chocolate, and graham crackers come together for a snack that says “childhood nostalgia meets wine night.”

Ingredients:

  • 6 Peeps

  • 6 squares dark chocolate

  • 12 graham cracker halves

  • Optional: peanut butter or Nutella

Instructions:

  1. Toast your Peeps to golden gooeyness.

  2. Sandwich with dark chocolate between graham crackers.

  3. Sip your Heritage and pretend this was always the plan.

Why it works:
Heritage's dessert-style depth complements the caramelized sugar and rich chocolate, making this a true indulgence.
