4 Things to do in NEPA This Fall

1. Hike the Endless Mountains and Enjoy the Fall Foliage

The Endless Mountains offers many hiking trails of different difficulty levels. Between mid-September and the end of October, the Endless Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania burst with countless shades of oranges, yellows and reds. Throw on your hiking boots and take a scenic hike through the mountains this fall. Some trails you could check out include the Endless Mountain Trail (14 miles long), the Iroquois Trail (3 miles long), or the Seneca Trail (6 miles long). Whatever your hiking experience, there’s a trail for you!

2. Take a Ride on the Hawley Pocono Foliage Express

Not much of a hiker but still want to experience the beautiful fall foliage that Pennsylvania has to offer? Visit the Poconos and take a ride on the Hawley Pocono Foliage Express. The train takes you for a 1.5-hour trip where you can take in the natural beauty of the Pocono Mountains. You might even be able to see some wildlife along the river if you’re lucky!

3. Visit Grovedale Winery

Fall is a perfect time to visit a local winery, especially one that is tucked away in the Endless Mountains. You’ll be able to relax and enjoy a glass of wine while being surrounded by the beautiful fall foliage and atmosphere. You can even get cozy by the fire pit at the tasting room. If you’re planning on visiting, check out the events page on the website, you can attend fall events being held at the winery this October such as the fall festival.
